The company currently employs over 900 people across its retail and online stores, three factories, and head office, and will be expanding from 22 to 26 retail stores in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra by the end of 2026.
Haigh’s prides itself on being a chocolate ‘bean to bar’ specialist, committed to the art of premium chocolate making, roasting cocoa beans to create a unique blend of milk and dark chocolate. Haigh’s are the largest Australian importer of raw cocoa beans, ethically sourced from cocoa plantations around the world, using only the finest and freshest ingredients.
Through meticulous artisan skills that include handmade chocolate creation and finishing, combined with advanced manufacturing equipment and techniques, Haigh’s creates exquisite chocolates that look and taste delicious.
We have several casual opportunities for Manufacturing Operators across Monday to Friday on both day shift (6:00am – 2:00pm) and afternoon shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm, based at our brand-new, state-of-the-art complex in Salisbury South, these roles offer a rare chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a vibrant, modern environment.
As a Manufacturing Operator, you'll work across a variety of tasks within our production environment, including packing, foiling and weighing products on fast-paced production lines, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and hygiene. As part of our team rotation, you'll also undertake housekeeping duties and washroom tasks, including cleaning equipment and washing moulds. We're looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and willing to contribute positively across all aspects of the role.
Previous experience in food manufacturing or other quality-focused production environments, such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, will be highly regarded. We're seeking reliable team players with a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a positive attitude towards all aspects of manufacturing operations.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in food manufacturing (highly regarded)
- Experience operating food production machinery
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- A genuine passion for producing high-quality products
- Initiative and a professional approach to problem-solving
- Accurate and consistent use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- A strong commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and standards
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent food handling skills, with a focus on maintaining strict hygiene standards
- Strong availability Monday through to Friday
