We’re looking for a Maintenance/Facilities Coordinator for this newly created role in our Engineering team, on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll be based at our new state of the art facility in Salisbury South and will also work across our other two manufacturing sites, at Mile End & Parkside. You’ll be the administrative backbone of our Engineering function: managing work requests in our CMMS, keeping contractors compliant, and building the asset and spare parts registers that will underpin how we maintain our plant.
What will you be doing?
- Receiving, reviewing and approving work requests, then managing work orders in our CMMS from creation through to completion
- Building and maintaining our Assets Register and Spare Parts Register, including gathering equipment and part data across all three sites
- Raising purchase orders and ordering parts, and tracking deliveries through to completion
- Managing vendors and contractors, including onboarding, site inductions and checking their compliance documentation (insurances, licences, JSAs/SWMS)
- Making sure works are carried out safely and in line with WHS, food safety and site requirements
- Following up outstanding works and keeping internal teams informed of progress
- Entering and checking maintenance data for accuracy, and supporting reporting, audits and compliance checks
What will make you successful?
You’re organised, thorough and take pride in getting the details right. You like bringing order to systems and records, and you’re comfortable following up with people to get things done.
You might come from a trade background and be looking to move into a coordination role, or you might have experience as a facilities or maintenance coordinator. We welcome applications from either.
You’ll bring:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Confidence using computer systems and spreadsheets. CMMS experience will be highly regarded.
- An understanding of contractor management and site safety compliance, such as inductions, JSAs and permits.
- Experience with purchasing, ordering parts or managing inventory.
- Clear communication skills, and the ability to build good working relationships with tradespeople, contractors and internal teams.
- The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
- A current driver’s licence
Why join Haigh’s?
At Haigh’s, we’re proud of our history, our people and the products we make. You’ll be joining a friendly, down-to-earth team where people work together and support one another. Along with the opportunity to make a real impact in a well-established South Australian business, you’ll enjoy our short-term incentive scheme, plenty of chocolate to eat on site and a range of other great benefits.
Inclusion matters at Haigh's. We believe that valuing differences in backgrounds, cultures, abilities and experiences helps create a workplace free from bias and prejudice. We're committed to making reasonable adjustments throughout our recruitment process and beyond, to ensure a barrier-free and supportive experience for all.
