Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity to for a Team Leaders to join our manufacturing leadership team at our Parkside facility on day shift (6:00am-2:15pm). 

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, these positions require committed and driven individuals to execute production plans, have proven people management experience, mechanical aptitude and proven ability to work through mechanical issues. As a Team leader, you play a crucial role within our manufacturing team, fostering a collaborative environment, providing valuable feedback to team members along with offering guidance and support.

Responsibilities of the Team Leader include:

• Leading, coaching and motivating a team of new and experienced machine operators to achieve business outcomes
• Working with the Production Supervisor to champion and execute continuous improvements on the production line, including but not limited to trouble shooting and process upgrades
• Collaborate within and across teams, including those on alternate shifts, as well as with other team leaders, to exchange information, expertise and resources
• Uphold and promote a culture of work health and safety within the manufacturing team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and protocols to maintain a safe and secure working environment for all employees
• Ensure the accurate and systematic application of SOPs is used at all times by employees
• Identification of machinery and/or quality issues and acting efficiently to remedy the situation
• Oversees daily operations of their designated area or line and works collaboratively with other teams to ensure targets for the day to-day operations are met
• Active participation in toolbox and monthly meetings
• Dayforce scheduling and approvals

What we are looking for:

• Experience within the manufacturing industry, preferably in food production
• Proven experience in people management
• Ability to maintain a strong presence on the production floor, actively engaging with team members
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and lead a diverse workforce of different backgrounds
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to work through mechanical issues
• A continuous improvement mindset, committed to safety, quality and people
• An enthusiastic, innovative driven approach, which successfully delivers in a dynamic team orientated environment
• Confidence to make decisions in a timely and accountable fashion
• Supervise, mentor and develop the production team to ensure they reach their full potential in their roles
