Trainer and Assessor - Manufacturing and Logistics
Job No:
HC922
Location:
Adelaide
As part of our Classification Structure, we are excited to announce the opportunity to appoint formal Trainer and Assessor roles to support the development of our team members.
This is an important step towards achieving our objective of building highly skilled and flexible work teams by providing:
- Genuine career opportunities.
- Access to ongoing learning and development.
- Clear progression based on achievement of machine centre competence.
This is an amazing opportunity to grow your own skills, make a positive contribution to your team, and play an influential role in the development of others.
Our Training and Assessment Approach
Becoming a Trainer and Assessor is like helping someone learn to drive. You guide them from getting their ‘licence’ (starting the formal training process) to practising with a ‘friend’ (Subject Matter Expert), checking their readiness, and finally assessing their competence so they’re ready to ‘take the wheel’ with confidence.
It’s important to remember that mentoring, coaching and supporting the training of our colleagues is a team effort and we all contribute to this process.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on training in line with the Personal Learning Plan, training materials, and SOPs.
- Provide guidance, encouragement, and clear instruction to team members in training.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to Team Leaders.
- Conduct and sign off Observations One, Two, and Three as part of the assessment process.
What We’re Looking For
Applications will be assessed by the Skills Development Group. We are looking for team members who demonstrate strong attendance and availability, a commitment to safety, hygiene and quality standards, and a genuine passion for training and development. You should bring solid technical competence and consistent work performance, while also showing good administration skills to manage the training process. Just as importantly, we value clear communication, teamwork, motivation, and the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities that inspire and support others.
What’s in it for you?
Successful applicants will receive 400 points applied within the classification structure under the Enterprise Agreement. More importantly, you will:
- Strengthen your leadership and communication skills.
- Gain recognition for your contribution to team development.
- Play a vital role in fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Internal Applications Close: 5pm, Monday 29 September 2025
Please apply via our online job portal. In your application, please provide us with two examples of where you have supported the development of your team or demonstrated leadership within your work group.
