Start 2026 in a hands-on role that makes a real impact. As our Quality and Compliance Officer, you’ll be at the heart of maintaining the integrity of Haigh’s quality systems, ensuring every product meets our high standards and regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Quality & Compliance Manager, you’ll work closely with supply chain leadership, production, maintenance and external partners to uphold Haigh’s reputation for exceptional food safety, quality and governance.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing systems, audits and documentation. Based at our Salisbury South Complex, this role operates Monday to Friday, with occasional travel to other sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with site teams to uphold quality standards and support safe, compliant operations.
- Maintaining quality systems and document control, including traceability, SDS and chemical registers.
- Coordinating external QA providers, including laboratories, pest control contractors and testing services.
- Assessing finished product quality and providing QA Technician coverage when required.
- Leading internal HACCP audits, corrective actions and supporting external audits and inspections.
- Overseeing site pest control measures and enforcing quality governance, including stop-production authority and PWNs.
About You
- Certificate IV (or higher) in Food Science and Technology or a Microbiology qualification.
- Lead Auditor certification.
- Experience in quality assurance and compliance within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP-based food safety systems and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in auditing, documentation control, and quality system maintenance.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational and documentation skills.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- The confidence to escalate issues and exercise stop-production authority when required.
