Established in 1915 and run by fourth generation Haigh’s family, Haigh’s Chocolates is the oldest family-owned chocolate maker in Australia. The company currently employs over 900 people across its retail and online stores, three factories, and head office, and will be expanding from 22 to 26 retail stores in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra by the end of 2026. 

Haigh’s prides itself on being a chocolate ‘bean to bar’ specialist, committed to the art of premium chocolate making, roasting cocoa beans to create a unique blend of milk and dark chocolate. Haigh’s are the largest Australian importer of raw cocoa beans, ethically sourced from cocoa plantations around the world, using only the finest and freshest ingredients. 

Through meticulous artisan skills that include handmade chocolate creation and finishing, combined with advanced manufacturing equipment and techniques, Haigh’s creates exquisite chocolates that look and taste delicious. 

Brisbane, get ready… something delicious is on its way. We’re delighted to announce that Haigh’s Chocolates is arriving in Queensland, with not one, not two, but three new stores opening across Brisbane in 2026.  

Our first store opens this August at Westfield Mt Gravatt, where you’ll be able to explore our extensive range of premium chocolates and enjoy our signature in-store experience. Chermside and Carindale will follow later in the year. This marks a significant milestone for Haigh’s and the beginning of our expansion into Queensland. 

Westfield Mt Gravatt is one of Queensland’s largest and most prominent shopping centres, serving Brisbane’s southside and broader metropolitan area. As a high-traffic retail destination, it offers an exciting opportunity to introduce the Haigh’s experience to a brand-new market and a new generation of chocolate lovers. 

As part of our preparations, we will soon be recruiting a team to support the opening of the Mt Gravatt store.
