The company currently employs over 900 people across its retail and online stores, three factories, and head office, and will be expanding from 22 to 26 retail stores in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra by the end of 2026.

Haigh’s prides itself on being a chocolate ‘bean to bar’ specialist, committed to the art of premium chocolate making, roasting cocoa beans to create a unique blend of milk and dark chocolate. Haigh’s are the largest Australian importer of raw cocoa beans, ethically sourced from cocoa plantations around the world, using only the finest and freshest ingredients.

Through meticulous artisan skills that include handmade chocolate creation and finishing, combined with advanced manufacturing equipment and techniques, Haigh’s creates exquisite chocolates that look and taste delicious.

We’re excited to announce several permanent, full-time opportunities for Manufacturing Operators on both day shift (6:00am – 2:15pm) and afternoon shift (2:00pm – 10:15pm). These roles are across our Salisbury South Complex.
 
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills within a specialised production area, including our Kitchen Centre (Cooking & Cutting) or as an Enrober Operator. During the application process, you’ll be able to nominate the area that best aligns with your experience and interests.
 
Our Kitchen Centre roles are ideal for candidates with experience in food environments such as manufacturing, catering or hospitality, with relevant qualifications in Patisserie, Commercial Cookery, Baking or related fields highly regarded. These positions require the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately, maintain product quality and consistency, adapt to changing production priorities, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
 
Our Enrober Operator roles are suited to those with experience or an interest in cake decorating, food finishing or detailed production work, with a strong eye for detail and pride in presentation. Success in this area requires accuracy, reliability and the ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced production setting.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • The ability to commit to full-time employment on either day or afternoon shift (38 hours per week)
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing
  • A qualification in Patisserie, Commercial Cookery, Baking, or a related field (highly regarded)
  • Experience operating food production machinery
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • A genuine passion for producing high-quality products
  • Initiative and a professional approach to problem-solving
  • Accurate and consistent use of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • A strong commitment to Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and standards
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent food handling skills, with a focus on maintaining strict hygiene standards
